I got one of these recently for a good price, my god it sounds a mile better than the Audigy 4 Pro it replaced (Vista x64), it's almost like the S750 speakers I have have been injected with steriods.
The one thing the Audigy 4 Pro could do and the X-Fi doesn't seem to do is accept a 5.1 SPDIF input and decode it so I can hear it over my speakers (e.g. Sky HD+, PS3 etc). It seems the option is not there anymore in the SPDIF input settings.
I read that in Vista the X-Fi cannot do it (something to do with MS' poor implementation/support for SPDIF allegedly) which I don't understand if the inferior Audigy done it absolutely fine.
Is there anyway I can use a 5.1 input over my PC speakers?
