X-Fi Fatal1ty + Vista + Mic ?

Hi hi!
I've recently installed the X-Fi Fatal1ty pro series on my computer (running vista home 64bit) and I can't get the mic to work with it, I've tried everything I could possibly think of but it appears to be a common problem, is there any solution to it?

I got round it by using the onboard sound for my mic and the X-Fi for everything else.

Since I do not use a Mic I cant remember offhand but its easy to fix and the answer is all over the Creative Forums.

Its somewhere in the actual Vista Sound settings same as peeps think they no longer have "What You Hear" but they do, just Vista had messed with settings.

control pannel > sound > recording click microphone and then click set default. happy gaming

Oh! I was messing about with it and I managed to get it to work!
