X-Fi Fatality and XBOX 360 Problems. Help Please!

Hi there.

Got a second Xbox 360 so i can reach out and tought the missus (BANG!!!).

Ita all up and running fine connected to the Dell 2407 with the HD VGA lead.

However I cant get sound through the X-Fi fatality card using the optical digital in on the front of the breakout box (the bit that goes in the drive bay).

Has anyone managed to get this working at all? I'm using Vista 32. Rest of the PC spec is fine.

I can get it working in XP but not in Vista.

Grrr, sounds like the norm with Creative and vista!

Anyone managed to get this working under Vista?

I did a driver update from the control panel then turned on Digital I/O in the audio control panel and adjusted properties for the speakers of all things!

You think it sounds easy but it took a lot of faffing around.

Do you have the lastest oct 9th drivers installed coz the drivers b4 these i know did have probs with this. But these new ones i have no probs then agian it could be due to me having all the microsoft hotfixs installed. :cool:

No Idea to be honest! Its a tool lol. When I need to know all about my PC then I do the work. Rest of the time I play games etc lol.

I fancy upgrading again in January so I better start reading up on whats good etc again!
