X-FI gamer or Music

Just got my new board an it only has optical out which is no good, because ive run coxail cable under the floor boards (used it on my old board) and i cant take up the carpet to change it.

So either of the 2 cards mentions above have coaxail and is one card better than the other. Listen to music though a 5.1 Yamaha AV and play BF2.

Does anyone have a break down of the differences between these 2 cards and whether one is worth buying over the other?

I hate the concept of consumer choice that turns out to be consumer confusion.

xfi gamer is the same as xtreme music but lacks the build in dolby/dts decoders and is low profile, the x-fi xtreme audio is just a waste of money...

I bought a gamer

I Have a XFI gamer and I wish I hadn't of bought it.
I wanted to use the digital output and and microphone at the same time
the dickheads that designed this put then on one port !
Tho I have managed to find the pin outs of the expansion interface
so I am going to make up my own coaxil digital output and use the port at the back for the Mic input.
