Hi.

Just wondering what the difference between the two cards is?

Gamer is £60 & Xtreme music (oem) is £50, although from what i gather the music card could possibly have better connections.

Will be using the card for some gaming, mainly Mp3, but its also running my xbox 360 through the line-in at the moment, and thats a must to have (i know all cards should have it, but just checking as i couldn't tell from some pics, especially on the gamer edition)

Cheers.

I've tried both, BF2142 doesn't support x-fi under the xtreme audio, you have to have the gamer version as minimum. Not worth spending extra for the on board memory versions though.

The XtremeAudio is EAX in software only according to their spec sheet. The XtremeMusic does support EAX in hardware, and it works fine with BF2142 here.

I think the XtremeMusic is being phased out by Creative, being replaced by the XtremeGamer. Might explain why there is so many OEM XtremeMusic's for sale on certain websites.

got my x-fi xtreme gamer fatal1y pro today and installed
all went ok and tested as well and passed
updated no problem
noticed that it drop a nice bit sinse i ordered on friday

So in laments terms the gamer is the better card, but is it worth the extra?

How comes the card is half height, just technology progressing?

And they both have a normal line-in so i can use my xbox 360 through my computer?
