X-Fi Gamer Static...

Recently got my hands on one, installed it and everything seems fine.

Started to reply WoW and now im getting static in my speakers, it goes away after awhile but its not normal.

Can anyone give me some help with this please.

I think the sound is over-boosted at source. It's a common(ish) problem with the X-Fi. Try opening up the sound module that comes with it, and lowering the gain. Then boost the volume in the speakers to compensate.
