Hi. I have recently upgraded from Windows XP Home to Vista Home Premium. using a X-Fi Extreme Music sound card. All was well until yesterday, when I loaded Windows and played an MP3. The pitch of all MP3s has dropped by a semi-tone! I have confimed this by listening to an identical track on my brother's system.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this (could this possibly be codec-related?) and how it can be corrected? All of my music now sounds flat! Thanks in advance.

You'd be surprised how much of a difference it makes! To answer your question, yes, all of the drivers are up to date. One evening it was fine, the next morning it wasn't. I hadn't changed/updated anything. Thanks for your help.
