Sounds like the cables are plugged in to the wrong ports on the back of the card...

Can you do a full list of where the speaker outputs come out in the format:

Where it should be on test -> Actual speaker it comes out of?

Speakers should be on 6 channel direct or similar setting.

ok, and also in music, nothing comes out of front right.

ok, on the test on the actual control center, all test is working now, but in the X-FI contorl panel its:

Front Left: center and front left
Center: front right
Front Right: rear right
Rear left : nothing
Rear right: rear left

to the left is what i press, to the right is were the noise actually comes from.^^

i hope to god its windows been retarded, i really dont want to be faced with faulty hardware, oh btw, my motherboard is a nvidia Nforce 3 250gb (Gbyte) if that helps

For analogue the cables into the back of the card should be pink/orange nearest the gameport, then black, then green. (just swap the black and green around either on the back of the sub or the back of the card)

I don't own the speakers so you'd have to check the manual/quick setup guide...it should tell you all the relevant settings there...you did mention a 6 channel direct setting before though, then 3/2 in this thread...is there a way to cycle through the modes?

Do you by any chance have a Logitec Webcam? I had the same problem and realised it was the mic that was built into the webcam that messed things up with getting proper sound from the speakers. Also check that hardware acceleration is set to maximum as basic hardware accelration messes things up too.

no, used to have a logitech webcam, was a pile of crap, got rid of it.

Anyway i did a fresh install of windows, installed the drivers, and now, everyhting is working fine i think, it was just a case of windows been retarded, but all solved now :).

I love using the remote, its just like media center :D

Yes, well they appear to have broke, its possibly a driver problem.

Anyway, any idea why surround sound and DTS aint working?

also, i downloaded these driver updates from Creative, and they get rid of the control panel that looks nice and sleek, and all there is is this display property looking pice of crap in the start menu, whats going on? i have to keep these drivers on my cd now.

After installing the latest driver from the Creative site, you have to reinstall the Creative Volume panel, THX etc stuff manually.
They don't tell you this anywhere! It's really bad.

Stick in the X-Fi CD, browse to Audio/Setup and run setup.exe. In here, you can manually choose specifically which component of the X-Fi software to install - most of this is bloatware crap, usually adding some crap on startup too.
The only stuff you need is the following -

-Entertainment/Game Mode/Audio Consoles
-Creative Speaker Connection Wizard
-Creative THX Setup Console
-Creative Volume Panel
-DTS Neo:6 Settings
And anything else you feel you'll use.

Be sure to untick the Audio Drivers (since you'll have newer ones) and thge Creatve Audio Console (since there is a newer version on the Creative page - get it!
