It sits in the system tray, has a different colour icon for each mode for a quick glance and changes between modes at the click of a mouse.
It also has the option to set any mode as default at startup and set the number of speakers.
I find the difference between game and entertainment modes fairly pronounced, certainly worth swapping from (my default) game mode when listening to music etc.
