X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Problems

Hi guys i got a X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty today the one that has the front I/O panel installed all the software but the sound card showed up as high definition audio device and i was unable to get into the audio console etc the front panal never worked either anyone able to advise me on what to do or have had same prob?

Have you made sure the onboard audio is disabled?

yeah. i had an extreme gamer x fi which i have put back in now. like i say the front panal never worked and in device manager just showed a high definition audio device is that right?

My PCI-E X-Fi showed as a High definition audio device in Vista before i had the creative drivers installed

i installed software off the cd and got the updates and it still showed it unless i messed it up somewhere. but surely the front i/o panal should at least light up?

H'mm I would remove the soundcard, reboot, then closed down, re-install the sound card.

If that doesn't work do the same process but remove the drivers prior to installing.

Also you definitly got all the connectors connected where they should be? double check the quickstart manual.

started over. uninstalled drivers turned off pc. took out x fi extreme gamer. installed new card and front i/o panel turned on installed minimum software required and it works sweet. front i/o appears to work also. seems i have been a bit of a noob lol. oh well we learn from our mistakes. thanks for the help guys
