Hey guys, im getting a new sound card rather than my usb soundblaster Omni, I want pure audio again rather than usb now iv got a motherboard with a spare pci-e slot.

so, which ones best a x-fi titanium or soundblaster Z ?

Cheers :)

I'd probably just go for a SB Z. Simply because the Z series will continue to get support from Creative, whereas with the older cards, you'd possibly be relying on modified drivers. You get a headphone amp with the Z cards, and also they have connections on the card itself for speakers and headphones. With the Titanium, if you want to use headphones and speakers, you either need to use the front audio on your PC case, or use some kind of switch box.

Ive had both an I would much prefer the X-Fi. Much more customization and game mode on the X-fi. Only benefit of the Z was the dedicated headphone socket.
