X-Fi Vista and DVD Spdif Output

Has anybody managed to get an Xfi card to output the raw digital data from a DVD to an external decoder through spdif while running Vista? If so How?!?!

Its really starting to bug me but I cant be the only person who has tried to do this!!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

yes I have.
What you need to do is right click on your volume control click playback devices then you should have 2 options spdif out and speakers right click on spdif and set as default device and bingo all done

Will that still output sound through the anologue channels? Will have to give it a go when I get back tonight.
