- Applications like Audio Console and Console Launcher will not work with this driver.

- This driver does not support direct monitoring.

- Some mixer controls don't work.

- Speakers can be configured in Control Panel only.

- Does NOT support any features present in a full featured driver.

- Does not support Audio Processing Objects.

Nowing Creative the shape of things to come, I wonder how many years it will be until they have a proper driver for Windows7

Windows 7 in fundementally the same as Vista, the fact they can't be bothered to bring out a Beta driver with decent functionality speaks volumes (pun intended).

Thanks, I was looking for this last night, couldn't get any basic sound out my Windows7 machine at all.

With Creative having this constant disdain for their customers it does make you wonder how they still make money, they've had this same attitude with XP, Vista and now Windows 7, do they not realise the idea behind a beta OS? For me personally this will definitely be my last Creative sound card.
