X-Fi Xtreme Gamer crackling.

It's fine most of the time but when I play 2142 and the artillery starts coming down I get a strange crackling noise, it only happens at the artillery and no where else.

How's it perform when playing music mate? Any crackling then?

You could possibly try moving it to the furthest PCI slot away from the Graphics card. See if that helps.

No crackling on music, just 2142.

It's in the nearest PCI to the graphics card So I'll move it later and tell you if its better, thanks.

No probs. It might just be the load whilst gaming from the Graphics Card causing problems for the Sound Card. Hopefully, the extra distance will stop it.
