Hell there.

Recently I got myself an Xtreme Music, and I'm pretty dam impressed with the sound quality overall, however there is one minor problem I have.

In Battlefield 2 and GRID I am unable to enable hardware accelerated sound, despite Windows obviously seeing the soundcard and using it as the primary recording and output device.

I have installed all the necessary drivers and software (X-Fi Driver, Console Launcher, Creative ALchemy) for the card and enable Game Mode before entering the games.

Anyone got any ideas on how to enable the hardware acceleration? Have I missed something blindingly obvious or is something strange going on?

I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

Cheers in advance, Vox.

I think there been a recent update of drivers, I'll try them and see if it helps.

EDIT: Yeah, auto-update finds newer drivers, am downloading and installing now. (I feel like a dummy if this sorts it all out, thought it would be more complex of an issue lol.)

EDIT2: Installed updates and restarted, loaded up BF2 and selected Creative X-Fi, it then let me select Ultra High setting, upon clicking Apply I'm told that my hardware is not supported. Even setting the sound mode to hardware doesn't work. Hardware Acceleration is greyed out for GRID aswell.
