ok, well i cant fault the card, very nice etc, although in vista x64 i cant seem to find an option to turn off hearing my own voice through my own speakers.

I just want it so other ppl on msn, teamspeak, ventrilo etc can hear me but i dont want to actually hear myself talking too, sounds weird me shouting out stuff when im playing and it echo's round the house, can someone point me in the right direction pls?

Open the control panel, double-click on Sound, then right-click on your speakers and select properties. I think, under Levels, you should be able to reduce or mute Microphone or something, and it will solve your problem.

had similar probs brought like 5 stereo mics would not work but usb did straight away.wierd.

If you have an X-Fi its because by default the drivers add the microphone as a playback device, you need to disable it to stop it from playing back over your own speakers. The USB mic doesn't work via the X-Fi which is why it worked.
