Have been thinking about X-Firing my current 4870 with another one, I have the Gainwood "Golden Sample" 512mb however I see they have a 1GB version now and I was wondering can you X-Fire them?

Also does anyone know if you can get extensions for 6 Pin PCI-E from a PSU to the GFX card as the ones on my Targan ain't exactly long and I'm not 100% sure they will reach if I was to get another one, and I would prefer to hide them abit more as well.

Yes you can crossfire a 1GB with a 512MB, however you'll get zero benefit from the extra mem as the crossfire setup will just limit the 2nd card to 512MB.
