x-fire 6970 and 6950

I was orginally going to xfire two 6950's but i've been seeing 6970's at 270 quid now and wondering if it's the same thing as putting two 6950's in. and will I see any sort of major difference for 100 quid with one 6970 and 6950 rather than 2 6950's.

Just gotta pray 650W is enough to power both of them and they don't get too hot

Was also wondering for the future would 2 6950's be good to power most games at high fps with 3 monitors ?

its a good quality corsair tx 650w. and with the 2gb card issue I'm waiting on my 1gb his 6950 to come back on RMA depending on that whether they will refund, replace, or repair the card

I think i'll just try and get 2 2gb 6950's ;D if I can't get 2 2gb's for my 3 monitor jobby i'll settle for 2 1gb's 6950's with a new 23 inch monitor for 1950x1050 resolution.

And OVR i'm going to be running 2 6950's not a 6970 so i'll be fine for power

It's a 180 quid upgrade? I'm not investing that much.

I'm running two xfire (2gb versions) 6950's with a Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 650W.

Well that shows my PSU has enough power to power both 6950's without them blowing.

And I'm not too keen taking the PSU out myself and plugging it all back in.

I'm not going to run Furmark there's really no point, My TX650 will be more than enough power to power my system. and btw Who would change my PSU and replug it all anyway? I don't know anyone who can do it and I don't trust myself to do it either.

I'm sorry but why don't you think my tx650 will be enough power? I can't plug a PSU in myself I'll just make things worse,
