X-Plane 10

I got my copy through today that I ordered quite a while ago. Just finished installing it and had a quick go and so far it's pretty rubbish tbh.
I'm running a 2500k @ 4.6ghz, 16GB Ram and a 7970 and at any decent like the videos sort of detail it runs like a slideshow. A modded FSX is a far better looking and runable game.
It also seems very crash happy, just adjusting the settings caused it to crash three times.
Hopefully after a decent play around I can get thsi to work a bit better but so far it's not that great.

I managed to get the vid working now. This is an SR-71 attempting to fly out of Gatwick. The scenary for a 60+GB install is pretty dire. It runs at around 10FPS with everything cranked up and 2xAA and tbh is absoulute crap and a complete waste of £40... Some will love it but for me it's horrid to look at and horrid to try and get it to run and control. I'm using the default setup with a X52 controller and as you can see in the vid the Yaw is all over the place and the plane is unflyable.

I get more than respectable frame rates until I enable HDR. Sadly my ideas of what a plausible world look like aren't the same as Austin Meyer's :(

WRT the SR71 I can't fly it in FSX experiencing similar problems. I suspect it's something to do with not understanding how to configure the aircraft correctly.
