I picked this up used for £3 recently

For those that don't know, this is basically a remake of X-Wing, and TIE fighter with their expansions in the hardware-accelerated X-Wing vs TIE fighter engine, including new audio, improved mission briefings\cutscenes etc. The training missions from the latter game are also included.

Seems I'll be busy for a while with over 250 missions and 9 flyable craft included, as well as the ability to edit and add content via third party modding tools

This is one of the few games that I play at least once every year A fine choice sir! I even prefer this to X-Wing Alliance.

Thats apparently true in terms of the storyline\missions, although the attack on the rebel hospital in Alliance was a pretty intense battle
