These kind of animal rescues and stuff are all over YT, social media, etc. and sadly if you do some research some of the ones with big followings actually intentionally put animals in these situations so as to "rescue" them on video

also big rise in AI videos of this nature which seem to take a good number in.

Not to say they are all like that - some are doing good work.

Funny enough my best mate, who is a big 6ft macho kind of guy, recently started putting "x" at the end of ALL his messages to me and I said to him "wtf, what's with the 'X's'?" and he said he and his missus do that all the time - but I did tell him to cut that **** out, so I kind of understand where you're coming from.

He works in an environment where most of his colleagues are female so I put it down to that.

I'm convinced some of these channels actually film things in reverse. They'll likely intentionally starve a healthy animal to get it to look something like the final thumbnail used on the video, to maintain some semblance of continuity, then nurse it back to health, before starving it again and posing next to a bin to film the "oh look I've found a near death cat in the middle of nowhere", and take the thumbnail pic then. Absolute *****.
