x1 and external hdd

Does anyone know if its possible to have say a 4tb external drive with 2 partitions, say 2.75tb for games and the remainder for movies/musi etc. All of which were available at the same time

First time you go to use it the drive will be formatted.

Thats what i was thinking, pretty much same as the 360 did

I'd assume it formats the drive to its own file system anyway so I can't see that working.

It isn't, i tried it with a 2tb
