how do the two above cards compare for gaming, just ordered a c2d kit (e4300/p5b/2gb ram) but not yet in a position to be able to upgrade to a 8800, yet. thats going to wait till the end of the month and hopefully prices will come down then i'll buy, possibly a GTS 320mb.

but anyway back to the point, i have a core duo 2ghz laptop with 2gb ram and a x1400 mobility, how would that stack up against the e4300 (at stock, dont have the stuff yet, cant tell how much it will clock to), 2gb pc2-6400 and a geforce 6600gt for games like c&c3/hl2/doom3 etc.

I have no idea about the x1400

The 6600GT(256 mb version anyhow) meets all game's that are out at the moment minimum requirements, the e4300 overclocked probably slaughter the laptop, at stock the e4300 is i'd say about 5-15% slower...

cool just wanted to compare how slow the desktop will be till i get a decent gfx card. since ive tried stuff on the laptop, now i know.

thanks.
