Took my case off this afternoon, and I noticed the GFX card was insanely hot. Turns out the fan had stopped spinning :o

I gave it a clean and it spins to a fashion now, but quite slowly and rather noisily.

I don't play many games, so my activities are pretty much Windows based and Photoshop. Would just replacing the fan be enough?
Or how about something like this

Would it fit the x1650 Pro?

Aaaah thanks for that :)

Looks like one of those is going to be sat in my machine tomorrow :)

the s2 would prob run passive on a 1650pro without any problems especially considering there's little or no heavy gaming use

Thanks :)

I got an S2 this morning, and installed it. It didn't specifically say 1650 Pro, but it fit anyway.

The only thing was, the instructions all pointed towards putting the spacers on the four holes around the edge and using those to screw in......My screw holes were different ones. So I'm not sure if its sat perfectly flush on the GPU. Two of the spacers are slightly risen from the board (therefore only hung in place by the fact theyre stuck to the H/S sticky stuff).

Been booted up fine, not had a fiddle for temps though, wouldnt even know where to start these days (Ive been out of the game for a looooong time).

By the way, bugger me, how big is this S2? It's about 1cm away from the edge of my case, and it takes both my spare PCI slots up (although I might be able to use 1 of them at a push).
