X1800 GTO Mod / Flash

Has anyone bought one of these and sucessfully modded it to 16 Pipes yet ??

Has anyone seen anything regards modding these on the web ??

I'm REALLY tempted to upgrade from vanilla 6600 to one of these and fancy modding it but don't want to turn it into a paperweight

Cracking price on the Powercolor version at the moment .... *tempted - dribble* hehehehe

Yeh I have Sapphire version of card and flashed with Sapphire XL bios, now 16pipes

Wow that is a good price!

The HIS is pretty good too, though you could buy the powercolour and an Accelero for less.

I know ... decent mid-high range performance for a bargain mid-range price

If ATI keep making these GTO cards out of their High Range stuff, I know what to look for in future generations of cards. They did this with the X800, now there doing it with the X1800, in the future with the X1900.....

Stuff the mid-range, wait for these for those (like me) on a tight budget !

And personally, with the ability of HDR & FSAA unlike the 7600, I can see this being the mid-range choice

a reviewer got the HIS IceQ X1800GTO to unlock too.

By the way, the X1900GT is the R580 X1900 core with 4 pipes/12 shaders locked.
