Hi all,

My new x1800 XT arrived this morning :) just waiting on my new motherboard so I can try t out.

How are the connect3d cards overclocking, is there much headroom for faster speeds?

Regards,

Also, currently I only have 512 ram + 3000+ Winnie CPU :( am I going to be held back?

how would ram and cpu hold back the overclock on your GPU? the only thing that will hold you back is the PSU and your COOLING, if you want to know how to overclock this card, use the search function because there is a massive guide for overclocking x1800xt's and x1900xt's everything you need to know is in there

Performance will be held back by CPU and RAM. The GC will be bottlenecked. It's like having a Ferrari but it only comes with a 1 gallon fuel tank and 2 gears, you know the performance is there, it'll show signs of it but at the end of the day it's crippled. If it's a 512 MB card flash it with the PE bios, if it's a 256 card like any OC it's the luck of the draw.

yeah, but he asked about overclocking not bottlenecking, sure he will be bottlnecked a lot, especially with only having 512mb ram, no matter what cpu you have with only 512mb ram any recent game will run very stuttery
