x1800 xt screen blanks

Hi i wonder if anyone can help my gfx card blanks the screen for a couple
of seconds after boot then returns to normal is this usual for the above
card

There is a little corruption on boot up and when swithching between 2d and 3d modes on my x1800xt, some people say the 6.5 cats solved the problems, some say (like me) it's still the same. Not a big problem though and is known with the cards so you should be fine.

Yes its normal, mine does it, everyones does it.

Its not the corruption he is on about, i know what it is, but i cant describe it, its after windows has booted to desktop, you know when the CCC kicks in or something, and the screen flashes, thats what he's on about i think, i hope lol.

ill reboot my machine then try and describe what mine does, but it is normal as it has something to do with the CCC.

Ill see if i can describe it a bit better now, right, you know when your destop first appears, and all your icons are loading up next to the clock, the screen will flash blank for a second or so as the CCC one kicks in.

Well thats what mine does anyway, but as said it is something to do with the CCC kicking in, and is perfectly normal, so don't worry about it.

Hopefully theres someone out there who knows what im on about, as im crap at describing things in type, and can verify it as it will happen to theirs.

Phew thats a relief then, otherwise there could have been loads of posts saying eh wts is he on about.
