Hey,

i can not find ANYWHERE a X1800 xt mastercard.

Does anyone know of where i can get one?! America is okay to buy from but i'd rather UK. Although we do get more bang for our buck atm!!!

Cheers!

Might be a wee bit difficult, given the rules. Linking to competitors is banned here. I'm sure if you look carefully on some of the usual channels for getting second hand stuff one will turn up.

Yes you can, but not on the x1800's as they were long out of production before they decided to do away with the master cards, so x1800's still require them, its only the x1900/x1950's/x1300/x1600 etc... that don't require masters anymore.

HOLY HUMUNGOUS SIG BATMAN!!!!

If thats 4x lines of text im gona buy a hat. :p

I bought the 1800 when it came out, wish i had waited for 1900 now. Cant find a master card anywhere tbh, if you manage to find 2 then plase email me :)

I've spotted one. Think a of a marketplace near a South American river or rainforest.

Wouldn't bother for the price I've seen to be honest. You'd get a 320MB 8800GT on OCUK for less.

By the way - there is only one master card for the X1800 range. So if you're looking don't add XT. It's an X1800 Crossfire Edition you're looking for.

I'm on a x1900xt, I don't need a master card you say for crossfire?

Wouldnt it be easier to buy 1 faster card with less heat and power and sell off the old 1? Only saying as i have a x1800xt aswell and was thinking of just upgrading to a new card.

That's what i'm thinking of doing as well. My x1800xt was great on my 17" monitor but now that i've moved to a 20" it doesn't quite cut it.

SLi/Crossfire only seems to be worth it if you're using the top end cards as there will always be a single card that can beat the dual card setup if using slower cards.

I have the same monitor as you! only thing holding me back from upgrading the card is my PSU, a bit scared it wont cut the mustard,,,

cheers bud!

i guess i'll tell him he could if he wants too, or sell and upgrade.

He's only on a 15" monitor anyway so he would be amazing for him for a few years yet. He'll get at least 2 years yet out of the setup.

Thanks for your help! and i'll sort the sig out! :( whoops! hhahah
