does a stock x1800xt running at 52oc at idle sound about rite to you guys. sounds abit warm to me

Little bit hot if in well ventilated case, do you have a cramped case? Decent airflow? X1800XT was about that in a Qpack, my X1900XT 39-41 idle in a Stacker.

You could re-apply thermal grease. When I took off stock cooler only had a small dab in around half of the core, HS surface was very rough surface too.

kk will do. is the stock cooler pretty poor though. alos *** sort of 3dmark06 should i expect to see with

amd64 3800+x2 @2.5ghz
2gb crucial ram
x1800xt @stock

Dude got exuivalent GC , but think your CPU stomps mine !!! Get 4707 though if its worth it

Pefectly fine, mine idles at 59, and underload 71-72.

Mine idles at 52c on the stock cooler so nothing to worrey about there mate.
