x1800xt not performing well..

I get the same temperature with the stock cooler, and will shortly be buying a VF900 :cool:

EDIT: Bezinator, looks like its your CPU thats holding you back a bit imo
 
Overclocking it would be cheaper/faster/easier. all together a better option imo, you could always try it and see if it helps at all, that way you will know for sure whether it is the processor holding you back :)

EDIT: fish99, thanks for link, i have a VF700-CU hanging about so might put it to good use, only thing is i like the idea that the stock cooler is pumping the hot air out of my case instead of heating it up, undecided yet what to do :confused:
