X1800XT problem.

*Bump* Hello again. I just got an RMA number and just wondered if anyone would know how long it normally takes.. although I do have a funny thing, Its gonna get sent back to me, saying nothing is wrong lol... I love being negative.. :p :eek: Also does anyone know a way of giving my gfx card a good test before sending it in, to be on the safe side hehe.

Ah ya, damnit..Sorry, missed that. I just run a video card stability test, Computer went nuts and video card turned itself off after halfway through lol.. I think thats good enough for me. On 2nd thoughts, if someone could run the "benchmark" option on this software and let me know if they get all the way through, it would help me..

Hello again.. :p

Well if any of you read this, you will see I had a few problems with my X1800XT just before xmas. I decided to leave it in its box untill after xmas hoping things would change (how wrong I was) Today, I thought I'd open it back up and see if it was having the same problems. When I used the "scan for artifacts" in ati tools.. This happened within 1min. I wonder if someone could tell me what its saying as it still says no errors.. and these were on stock settings too. Also, when it starts coming up with the delta message, my card starts making a small clicking sound.

Thanks I will do. I just wanted to make absolutely sure it was just me, as I didn't want it getting sent back saying nothing was wrong with it. With the evidence Ive provided here and the replies back.. I can safely safe, the card has had it. :eek:

I've got a Saphire X1800 XT and, know that mine isn't doing anything like that, yours is defo faulty.

Well it was in the xmas time, and with all the crap I had to do, I didn't get time. Plus I wanted to let it cool down before I had another stab at it, which seems to have made it worse.. That I have never had to RMA anything back before :eek: . What about the packaging, eh?!
