X1800xt temps

On the stock cooler mine used to idle at 58 and load at 75ish. On hot days it would easily get to the low 80's
GPU's are quit safe upto 100. But I wouldnt want for mine to get to that

Yeah my stock x1800 idles around 58-59, and underload normally goes to about 71-72, but while playing FarCry it goes to 77, as its pretty demanding, its still fine though.
As said above under 100 is fine, x1900's stock are normally in the 80's.
If you want decent overclocking with low temps though, then the Zalman VF900 is what you want, a cracking cooler, only downside is it doesn't exhaust the heat out of the case like the stock cooler, but if your case temps are pretty low anyway it wont matter.
