Hey folks, I just got one of those Connect 3d ones on offer from OcUK. Previously I had an X800XL, and so going by what people on these here forums have been saying I should be expecting a big upgrade. But I ran 3d mark 03 and I only got 11347, hell I got 11135 with my old card!! In 3d mark 05 I get 8225, which is better.
Also how do I overclock this card?? I have been in the catalyst control centre (using the latest on - just downloaded it today) and gone to ATI overdrive but it doesn't seem to work. No matter what value I select on the "requested" slider the "current VPU clcok" always stays at 594Mhz, same with the memory which only stays at 693Mhz.
Aren't these clocks a bit low since on the ocuk website it says that they should be at 625Mhz and 750Mhz respectively at stock. I have also tried using ATI tray tools, and cant figure that out either!! I right click the tray icon, go to hardware, then overclocking settings and when I move the sliders in there they immediately go back to 594 and 693 mhz - wtf??!
When I go to hardware, the auto overclocking, I click the box to enable 2d/3d overclocking and click OK, it says I have to choose profiles, but the dropdown menus for the profiles are blank!!
Can somebody please tell me if A) my card is actually running slow and B) why and C) how do I fix it?
Thanks
