x1800xt v 3870xt power

I know people have talked about this kind of thing before, but what kind of power do you need for a 3870xt? I've read 450w quoted as a minimum, and also people saying that they use less power than an x1800xt. I'm running an x1800xt on a 380w antec psu so where would that leave me if I wanted to get a 3870xt?

If your running an x1800 XT without problems, then you'll have no trouble with the 3870, they use a helluva lot less power than the x1800's.

you'll be fine, check the ampage output on your rails though just to be on the safe side(recommended is 28 AMP's on the 12 volts rails)
