X1800XT, Your Benchmarks here...

hmmmmmmm considering your stock score is 8500 man its relatively low wheras your 3dmark06 version is probably correct!

Exactly,

Im getting 8500 in 3Dmark 05 & 4300 in 3Dmark 2006 both at stock.

What could be causing the 2005 lowish mark score?

Stock air cooling here and i've got the best clocking card posted yet.

The stock cooler is really excellent!

The stock cooler on my card idles at 53 degrees, this seems high tbh :|
That's because the card kicks out so much heat.

Try putting on a Zalman, people are reporting basically no changes with the Zalman and when they overclock and put more volts through the card, the Zalman cries :(

nah gonna wait, Im collating all the parts for a nice water rig, once there is a water block on there should be able to clock the boots off it (within reason) :)

Actually guys the Zalman wasnt great with the PE bios on the card :(

I basically put the original bios back on and its temps fell a lot greater! Under load with the PE bios the temps went up quite a bit....to the 90's actually which wasnt good! I have reapplied the fan and now with some arctic silver compund so I will give it a go again!

Really I was wanting a completely silent system so thats why I went for the Zalman and also playing on stock bios @ 690/800 is done no problems with the temps reaching 73 max "thats during 3dmark of course" :D

ahhh alright thats good to know - still cant wait to get a waterblock on it though and bring it right down to something not far off my CPU temperature :)
