Thinking of getting one i only have a P4 , 3.4 prescott 1mb l2c, 1 gig ram(would be 2 with card), now i would game in probably 1280x1024 or 1600x1200, would my setup do it justice, and how would this card cope with games like bf2/tombraider legend etc with aa /af/gfx settings.

Its a good excuse to invest in a decent cooler and overclock that Prescott too :)

Not played the new Tomb Raider game yet, but Battlefield 2 runs smooth at almost cap FPS on full whack for me. :D

Buy it, bloody amazing card and unbeatable value for money. ;)

That screen is only with the latest (6.4) catalyst drivers I think.

I've got the card, it's brilliant. Play on CS in 1600x1200 and runs like a dream.

Yeah its normal and nothing to worry about, just wondered if there were other problems, thats the only thing I could think he was referring to.

Another deals popped up, he offering his A64,3700/sli mobo/2 gig ram/7800gtx/460wpsu. He would have course get my P4 etc with 6200 gfx card in and other deals going on.

Is this pc good enough to play games pretty much maxed out at 1280x1024

That system is almost on par with mine. If the 3700 is a san diego then it should clock pretty well and you'll see a nice gain, and theres not a huge difference between the graphics cards. Mine will handle most games maxed out at 1280x1024 so cant see why that one would be much different. Also if you can pick up a cheap 7800gtx later one you can sli it no problem.

Yeah its a sd core, been playing oblivion on the 360 but its jerky has a lot of drawing grass etc not far in front of you when you outside and its annoying now, what chance would this system have running that game.

bear in mind that Oblivion does not run silky smooth (60fps+) on ANY system outdoors with everything maxed out. Same goes for TRL if you enable next gen effects. The system you're looking at is great but just don't expect miracles.
