x1800xt

x1800 XT is faster than the 7900 GT, also lets you have AA+HDR on at the same time in Oblivion, im playing it maxed everything on mine (512mb) in 1280x1024 with 2xAA/16xAF+HDR. :)

Ill also get it in before the usual ppl, yes an OVERCLOCKED 7900 GT will be faster than a STOCK x1800, there you go, but the x1800 can also be overclocked as it is also a fantastic overclocker, so will be faster again. :)

It will have all the eyecandy but will only be playable when walking around inside. Outside with all the grass, grass shadows, tress, draw distance you'll be looking at 18 - 24 fps max on a X1800XT 256/512 with 2x AA and 16X AF with HDR.

Might aswell save me money and play them on the 360 then, thanx anyway.

From what I've seen, the 360 has quite a few frame rate issues in a number of games including Oblivion.

I have currently only a antec 350w psu, would that do the job with a x1800xt if not what size would i need, atm i got 3 harddrives/dvdrw/ and the usual stuff.

I been looking at this Enermax EG465AX-VE(G)(FMA) 460W ATX1.3 Power Supply - Note: Updated revision now supplied with copper shielding and SATA power connector along with 20-24 pin power converter

would this do the job if i need one as its on this week only.

Could do with a bit of advice on this plz, i said above i have a 3.4 gig prescott 1m L2 cache, 1 gig of ddr400 ram, i use a 19" crt monitor with a max resolution of 1600x1200 would a x1900xt do the job better than a x1800xt at this resolution, or would the P4 just bottleneck it.

Next thing i have to get a new motherboard as mines only agp, now i can't afford to goto ddr2 ram aswell, been looking at this mother board thats got ddr1 support - Asus P5GPL-X Intel 915PL (Socket 775) PCI-Express Motherboard on overclockers site, also is ddr2 a big improvement for intel systems ? any help would be appreciated.

My ATX 1.3 520w PSU is working fine. :)

So would the antec thats on this week only do the job, also would it be fine on a x1900xt ?

Enermax EG465AX-VE(G)(FMA) 460W ATX1.3 Power Supply Note: Updated revision now supplied with copper shielding and SATA power connector along with 20-24 pin power converter
