Im so getting one im saving up for the x1900xtx (im not sure if thats right) which is the top one out of the series. Any idea how much it will be as i dont really wanna pay more than £450. Also is there specs at all on the x1900 series. And is the 24th jan when we will be able to buy it off overclockers or when we cam preorder one.

Anyway is anyone getting these cards and which one :)

A good thing is though, if you buy this generations x1k series, once they start to struggle in games (which i can't see happening for a while) then you can just Crossfire it up with another one, and it will be cheaper than the R580 (another x1k card, assuming you already have a Crossfire mobo). :)

I think ill stick to 1 card options im not going to go sli/crossfire untill the m2 boards are out with ddr2 and sli/crossfire option on them.
I still think 1 card can cope with any game really well at low resolutions like mine at 1280x1024. I wonder when a game will come out when you must have sli/crossfire as standard to play it.

£500 for the x1900xtx gibbo is saying then if its matched to the 7800gtx 512mb. I don think i can afford that ill either just have to go for the bog standard xt if i want to get it on release date. Or i could just 2 weeks longer to get the xtx ill just have to think about it.

Unless gibbo says theres a real big difference between the xt and xtx.

So far ive saved £237 quid from my spending allowance, but i keep tempting myself by looking at which card i can afford each time my spending money goes up. So this week i can afford x1800xl, which is slightly tempting but i must not as there not exactly the best cards are they :p
January 24th is such along time its getting very hard times, like yesturday i spent 35 quid and bought all 3 of the onimusha series :) and it came with a free game the bouncer :)

Yeah, all they are doing at the moment is getting one up on each other, "Ohh ATi have released a speedbumped faster card, better get one out thats a bit quicker", "ohh Nvidia have released a card thats a bit quicker, time for a speedbump", "ohh ATis ........" :D

your just annoyed you bought an average 1800xt :p

Im excited about getting the x1900xtx and to see the difference from my current card the x800xl. Which is still a really good card and i can play all the latest games on max apart from fear which doesnt look very nice tbh.
But even if you can play games on max settings they look nicer on a better graphics card eg looks more richer and stronger colours i find.

And as for wasting money on £400+ cards well its up to us, but im sort of getting a bit annoyed at the steady increase in prices of top end cards. Then again all my cards have been expensive:
Geforce4ti4400 £250
Asus 9800xt £350
connect3d x800xl £200

The x1900xtx will be i expect £400+ but i think that will have to be the last part i get for my pc. As its near enough high spec machine and theres nothing worth upgrading...well maybe a new hard drive :)

Im just hoping that this 1900xtx ive been saving up for is really worth it. Its just got to play every game i own in max details, im not taking exscuses of fear just being badly designed its gonna play beautifully or else ;)

i was very close to buying the powercolur x1800xt about 3 weeks ago until i found out about the x1900 series cards so i thought id wait and see what these cards are like.
i expect all you x1800 owners are disappointed after finding out about the x1900 i expect you would have waited. And just think the x1900xl will be better than the x1800xt, loudsamoney u must be niffed :p

Im not gonna go over £450 thats my limit so i may not be able to buy the xtx version, but still at least minimum will be the xt card.
Im so used to playing games on high/max quality i get disappointed if i cant play the game in all its glory. So when i start to play games at meduim settings thats when i know ive got to change my card.
The x1800xt and x1900xt is practically 100% gonna play all the games this year at max settings but i expect ppl will still think about getting dx10 cards :)

Ive been thinking about when i do get the x1900xtx i know my cpu will be quite bottlenecked (or whatever the word is) and i was wondering if this is a very serious performance problem. Is anyone else worried about that, so i was thinking if i upgraded my cpu what would i have to get so there would be no bottleneck.

I currently have the 3700 san deigo, if i have to buy a fx cpu then i wont bother getting a new cpu.

How does everyone install there new graphics cards then as im not sure if i do it the right way or not. But i think i must do it right as ive had no problems before this is how i do it it:

1.download latest catalyst drivers with ccc
2.use driver cleaner and check the control panel in add and remove software
3.Put new card into slot
4.Turn computer on and into safe mode
5.install new driver that i downloaded
6.restart pc and now its ready!! :)

Does that sound alright or am i missing something, would there be any special drivers i would need to install with the cd that usually comes with the card.

Edit: does the 5.13 the latest drivers support the x1900 cards or will i have to use the drivers that come with the graphics card.
