Why, they are beaten by a few % under the shader intensive games as expect. The only thing Nvidia needs to do is lower prices, but considering they are selling cards faster than they can produce them then there isn't any point in that.QUOTE]

Because OcUK are selling an ATI card that IS faster ( No doubt more to come with newer optimized driver revisions) Sports slightly nicer IQ and most significantly IS £110 cheaper . Your spin sounds a tad tedious D.P m8ty ;)

So what do you do if you already have an X1800XT and want more ? ... buy an X1800XT crossfire card and outperform the X1900XTX ;)

www.HardOCP.com have a review / feature up now, i haven't had a chance to look over it but the COD2 benchies show the x1900XT doing slightly (just slightly) better than the 7800 GTX 512 :-)

Excellent

Just shows you at 1280x1024 theres hardly anything between it and the x1800 XT, so if your stuck at that res as having a TFT, then the x1800 is the better buy. :)

Still the x1900 has done its job, and thats get one up on Nvidia, and beat them on price to, be mad to go for the 512mb GTX over the x1900, the 512mb GTX is Nvidias own x800 XT PE, as rare as rocky horse ****, but it will all change when they take the crown back in March when the G71 hits, but as Gibbo said the fight is on. :)

Things are looking good for ATi at the moment though. :D

Ive read a few reviews of the X1900s and they dont seem all that different than a X1800 in performance at the moment.
Maybe ATI are hoping that developers will start using heavy use of shaders, prehaps then the 48 shader processors will start to push the X1900s into the lead.

But what price will the g71 card be when we do get it??? the 7800 512 is still more expensive than the 1900xt's

I suspect NVIDIA will hold their current pricing as in their eyes ATI have not beaten them, so the 7900 will no doubt just replace the 7800 512MB and be a similar price, no doubt approx £450 - £500 +VAT at a guess.....

well then if it is theyre shooting theirself in the foot.

I think above £500 for a gfx card is a totall stupendous price.

Theres no way i would ever go above £420 let alone around £520

Nvidia still think theyre king... hehe they must be smoking something.. but then the x1900 is smoking nvidia :P

Yeah x1800 XT is still a cracking card, x1900 is the same apart from its got 3x the shader power, and slightly higher clocks, it will certainly come into its own at the shader intensive games thats for sure, just needs them to appear. :)

WELL i have just ordered a pc x1800xt+ motherboard to go with my new belina scree, my card statment is going to make me wincea bit :)
