I've got a bit of an on going problem with vista x64 at the moment. My games seems to slow down for reasons unknown.
I just had a bit of a thought that my card may be getting too hot. I tried cranking up the fan speed manually to full in ATI Tray Tools and having a bash at Dystopia and Far Cry and they seemed to work better than they were previously (no significant frame rate drops).
So this leads me on to my next question, is the fan speed controled by firmware on the card or the drivers on the pc?
While I'm at it, what sort of temperature would I have to hit to notice a slow down? I haven't really checked what I'm at after gaming at the moment.
