Hi all,

I am looking to get the Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 XT-X 512MB graphics card.

What sort of requirements should my machine have, for example does it need more than a 400w power supply.

Also should this card need extra coolinng considering it already has a massive fan?

Cheers

There has already been loads of threads on this but in summary.. The PSU needs to have a 12v with a minimum of 30A minimun of 480W. If you do a search there is a thread specifically on the PSU for this superb card.

Sorry you say there is a "thread specifically on the PSU for this superb card" I have did a search and can not find it. Would it be possible for you to point me in the right direction.

Thanks

im running an antec neo power 480w, which has dual rails, i think ones like 18 the others about 15 but mine seems to be ok. According to ati tool, when on load it draws 21.5a

i got an 1900 XTX and my 550W power supply...which ive used for near two years...has only 20A gaurenteed on the 12V rails. Have been using the graphics card a lot in last week...and its going very well...no instability isuues at all. My PSU is morelikley to pass out before anything else...but fine for the noo

I have tried looking both on the Overclockers shop and on others but I am finding it hard to find a PSU with a 30A on the 12V rail. Can anyone help

I bought that card last week, along with an Enermax noisetaker 600w - not having any issues so far :)
