Herro Hans Brix! I'm so ronery...
but anyway...
I have an ati x1900 xtx, which is as I'm sure you're well aware PCI-e and I really feel the need to have a FireGL card.
I understand that you could get something like an AGP 9800 pro and flash it to a FireGL card of sorts. I found a guide how to do that, something to do with a FireGl bios, some hacked drivers and rivatuner...
Quite an old guide. Is there anything similar that can be done with my current card.. I don't seem to have any AGP slots on my motherboard (asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe) funnily enough.
So anyway, can't afford £2000 for a nice FireGL card or Quadro FX - but is there anything that can be done to either a recentish PCI-e nVidia/Ati card to make it into its workstation equivalent?
I just read another thread here that said the PCI-e versions didn't seem to be flashable... boo. Suggestions?
