Hi
Do you guys think the 650/1550 x1900 are worth the extra cash over the 625/1450 models. Are there any other differences or is the higher clocked device just using the 'cream' silicon?

cheers

Hi there

The difference is only approx £30 now if that, so might as well get the XT-X.

OcUK has the Connect3D X1900 XT-X at just £319.95 +VAT. :)

For the difference I would go for the XTX. OcUK have it at a cracking price. I had a x1900XT and it ran @690/800 which was the overdrive max, this was under water. On air it managed XTX speeds. These cards are definately being held back because of the lack of good cooling. The XTX must be speed binned and if you plan on overclocking then they are a must have. The resale value will be higher for a XTX if you ever want to sell. Someone would always buy a XTX or a XT.

If your gaming at 1680x1050 (16:10)/1600x1200 (4:3) or higher..Then i say get the xt-x one for sure..

The XTX cards appear to be cherry picked & thus allow higher overclocks than the XT cards too. So if you can stretch got for XTX, otherwise the XT will still be a cracking card.
