Recently got a x1900xt 256M, I was doing some over clocking using CCC with stock cooling it got to 689 (max for CCC), but no memory overclocks. If I try ati tool or ati tray tool it crashes as soon as i try auto oc either the core or memory. Is there something i need to do to get them to work? Ive had a look at the thread and followed it but seem to get the same results. Ive used latest drivers and software and also stable versions, but only CCC seems to OC card without crashing. Its now water-cooled so temps shouldnt be a prob (42 max load), anything ive missed?

Ati tool did not work correctly on my system with ATT installed.

CCC has 2D clock speeds and a 3D clock speeds. Both these speeds have a different VCC. CCC adjusts the VCC depending on the card being in 3D mode or 2D mode. ATT did not do this for me I had to manually increase VCC to the default VCC for 3D mode that CCC sets. If I did not adjust the VCC in ATT the PC would lock up at around a GPU clock of 600Mhz

Sorry, I cannot remember these voltages, but the sticky concerning 19xx overclocking has some useful info. and possibly these figures.

iirc Ati Tool did work and automatically change VCC depending on clocks, once I uninstalled ATT.

If the above is confusing: a higher VCC is needed to run GPU over 600Mhz. CCC does this automatically. ATT does not.
