After quite a while of going between one card and another ive ordered a connect3d x1900xt for £290 incl RMSD :D.

just a bit worried my psu wont handle it though. Ive got a tagan 430w modular. Its will be runnning

146 @ 3.0ghz
2 x sata HDD's
1 x optical drive
6 x 120mm fans
Epox 9npa +
x1900xt

Taking into acount that i wont be overclocking it (yet) and its only got to run 1280x1024 until i get my 2407wfp in a couple of months

Multimeter will be most accurate but your motherboard may have a program itself(Asus have Asus Probe for instance), alternatively Motherboard monitor or Speedfan should work with pretty much anything :)

you'll be fine, i've been using my x1900xtx with a 420w tagan psu until my 580w tagan modular arrives.
not had a single issue yet.

can anyone recommend a voltage monitoring program which will work with epox 9npa+sli?

what happened with epoxs being sold at ocuk anyway? theyre crackin boards

Many times I've seen the monitoring programs miles away from the true value. Unless you've proven their values with a DMM, anything they give is meaningless. Any monitor app will poll the same sensor on the board and if that's wrong they all are. Once you've proven the readings, then fair enough use the monitor.

hmm, the amount of PSU worrying here is O.T.T, IMO

Ive a 400w Silverstone Strider powering

DFi-Ultra-D
144 @ 3.15ghz 1.55v
1gb Pc3200
x1800xt 512 @ 700/800
wd raptor
thermal/fan controller
cd-rom
floppy
laing ddc 12v pump
4 x 120mm fans

system is rock stable at a large overclock.
