x1900xt 512mb pci-e problem

Hi,

Ive had this card for around 12 months now and not had any problems, untill this week. I moved house and everything was working fine before i moved, but in my new place, the usual slot i plug my monitor into ( DVI1 ? ) it doesnt work. Only the DVI2 slot works, however this now becomes a problem because i want to run dual monitors.

Now im running my monitor in dvi2 port but want to extend my monitor to DVI1, when i try to do this, the monitor is receiving a signal from the computer, but is not receiving a picture, its just a blank screen.

Anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?

Im also trying the 9pin option now inbetween the 2 dvi ports. Im using the 9pin to hdtv connector and from that i have 3 leads, red, blue, green and they are going into the red blue green ports on the tv (hdtv) ports and still nothing is happening when i boot up the computer, nor when i select extend my desktop to the tv.

Any ideas please?

Could anything have been changed in your CCC for your output settings? Perhaps having a look in there or the likes would help.

OK ive used driver cleaner, got rid of all drivers and re-installed latest.

It shows here that both monitors have been detected. But on the secondary display i cant see anything on my monitor. Its just blank, but has a signal and is connected:/

Its not the cable, as ive tried others, and its not the monitor/tv as i have tried others.

Any ideas?

This shouldn't have anything to do with it, but it worked for me

I also had this problem after moving house. No idea why, but when I reversed the DVI cable (plug the gfx card end into the monitor, and vice-versa)... the problem went away. It can't have been that... but it did fix it. I dunno, worth a try..
