x1900xt and Dawn of War.

just thought i would try out dawn of war winter assault to see how it runs on the x1900xt, but the ramn text boxes are all garbled up.
typical ati driver behaviour i suppose. they better have it fixed before dark crusade comes out. otherwise its grounds enough to send the card back for a refund.

Dawn of War is fine on my rig with a X1900XT plugged in. Using latest Omega drivers.

Perhaps its faulty?? Try running the deep freeze test just to make sure, say 10,000 times ??

just ran deep freeze in a loop and got no problems.

wierd how only the text is garbled up in the game but not the game itself.

Its a bug with the drivers, you have to put the game in 16bit mode for the text to appear properly, get the same thing with my x800xt

dang it, even the menu is corrupted. will try it in 16bit mode.

yep 16bit mode seems to have sorted the text out. just some graphical glitches on buildings and tanks left but game is still playable.

Joking aside Dawn of War is a class game. Really looking forward to Dark Crusade.

It worked fine with my X1900. Have you done a driver clean since removing your Nvidia? DC Pro is recommended

My X1900XTX has no probs whatsoever with DOW in 32-bit.

dunno why i got the problem. im using official 6.9 driver.

I was playing it as well in high res, with no issues on an x1900xt. Strange that...
