X1900XT Crossfire card (ASUS) - unclockable ?

My ASUS Crossfire X1900XT does not seem to be overclockabel in CCC.....even after 'unlocking' with the little padlock, the core slider shows 621MHz - 621MHz and is therefore unmovable, the RAM slider simply shows the 2D speed at one end and the 3D speed at the other, but again will not move

Anyone got any thoughts ? This has been the case throught the last 3 versions of CCC (currently on 6.9)

Can you even pick individual cards in CCC? I thought you just saw the one card settings?

True.....in CCC the drop down just shows 1 card...something like

1. X1900XT blah, blah, blah......

....to me, the number at the front would indicate that one should see both cards in the drop down

Most annoying, as my original Sapphire XT happily clocked beyond XT-X speeds in CCC, with no voltage etc. changes whatsoever

Surely there must be something wrong......and (hopefully ) therefore a fix....
