X1900XT - Fan speeds & Temps

Hi,

I've seen mention of options to set the fan speed for a specific temperature on the X1*00 cards but I'm damned if I can find them. I've downloaded ATITool but can't see it in there either. Any help appreciated

Via Everest it seems my card makes it to the high 80's for GPU and GPU VRM during 3DMark2006. If my CPU was that hot I'd be worried, but is it OK for the graphics card? (Connect3D X1900 XT 512MB)

You can set a fixed fan speed with Riva tuner, but not temp-specific fan speeds.

Its normal for the stock cooler. I reach about 85C at max load and 90C on a hot day.

I've just discovered there's a new Ati Tool version 0.25 beta 14.

Apparently this version allows temp-controlled fan speed settings, I haven't checked that out yet.

The clock speeds are detected properly though, unlike the current Guru3D download (version 0.24), which doesn't work properly with my X1900XT.

Ati tool has a new beta 15 that will control Your fan, I would not use any of the other Functions as they don't seem to work properly on the X1900xt's, but It looks like the Guy is back redeveloping the Utility
