X1900XT or X1950 Pro?

Which of these cards should I go for? Both 512Mb models, but which one would be better?

XT has better performance. Pro is cheaper, only a little slower, and comes in single slot.

I've just checked a couple of reviews all saying that the X1900 is better by about 20FPS. That is only the 256MB versions though, I can't find a review of the GeCube 512Mb TEC X1950 Pro.

x1900 XT, x1950pro is only around x1900 GT performance.

The 512mb pro will be the same, x1900 XT 512mb hands down.

The x1950 are just x1900 with increased clocks. The pro is actually clocked slower.

They're slightly better than GT performance. In between GT and XT, roughly. On par pretty much with 7950gt. At higher res the gap closes.

Heres a review of the 512mb pro against the 7900 GS/7900 GT/7950 GT, but the x1900 XT is faster than them all.

It's just the naming that makes me laugh sometimes! "Pro" - and yet slower...

guru3d review is good. look at cod2 performance. new games will work well with the x1950pro. thing is its gonna be priced at around £130inc vat and for that price its deffo worth buying. it has its advantages over the x1900xt, lower power consumption, less heat, less noise and still good performance.

i can see people who have HD tv's like me getting one of these since those screens run at resolutions of 1280x720 or 1360x768 and performance at those resolutions will be brilliant and probably cpu limited.
